I had just thought since we were both there and ok that it was ok but 3 weeks later Gansey is dead. What if he comes back and dies again? I can't let that happen.

You being here and Gansey dying aren't connected. If it were, don't you think it would have happened a lot sooner? Like you said, it's been three weeks.

You think it's connected because you're afraid and guilty. Stop for a minute and think about it. You're still dead, aren't you? You're a ghost in a body. All that's changed is that now you have a vessel. How would that kill Gansey?

Yes, but just because he thinks it's true doesn't mean it actually is. Things he says in anger don't necessarily stay true even in his own head.
